Federico Cardilli, violin

Born in Rome, he brilliantly obtained the Violin Diploma at the “G. Rossini ”in Pesaro under the guidance of Maestro Mario FERRARIS. He attended the International Summer Courses of Musical Interpretation in Norcia (PG). According to the didactic guidelines of Maestro Ferraris, he particularly dedicated himself to the study of Baroque music, faithfully retracing the performance practice of the time. He was part of the Italian Youth Philological Orchestra “A. Corelli ”, founded and directed by Maestro Ferraris himself, engaging in numerous concerts also as a soloist, with his own instrument, a copy of an eighteenth-century baroque violin. He has participated in several national and international competitions with many successes. First violin of the “Camerata Italica”, string ensemble conceived and founded by Maestro Giorgio CARNINI; with this orchestra he performed as a soloist in prestigious halls in Italy and abroad, Sala Casella of the Roma Philharmonic, Sala Verdi in Milan, Auditorium of the Cattolica in Rome, the Musical Academy of Tallin (Estonia) and participated in the inauguration of the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto in 2004.

In 2005 he attended, obtaining top marks, the Training Course for Orchestra Professors “Progetto Palcoscenico” – Abruzzo Region, in whose orchestra he covered the role of first violin. Always as first violin he collaborated with the International Chamber Ensemble of Rome and with the Orchestra Giovanile Abruzzese in the Italian tour of Maestro Luis Bacalov.

He studied Chamber Music with M ° Marco ZUCCARINI.
He has performed in many concerts for duo, including in prestigious halls such as the Kleiner KonzertSaal of GASTEIG in Munich and the UNESCO PALACE Auditorium in Beirut in Lebanon, on the occasion of the Week of the Italian Language in the World (October 2005).

He followed improvements and masterclasses with Giuliano CARMIGNOLA, Giulio FRANZETTI, Fulvio LUCIANI, Felix AYO, Roberto RANFALDI, Francesco MANARA and Ilya GRUBERT.
He was a student of the Teatro alla Scala Academy in Milan in whose orchestra he held the role of first violin performing in many concerts in Italy and abroad, under the direction of Ottavio DANTONE, Giovanni ANTONINI and many others.

He has played under the direction of important masters such as L. Bacalov, D. Renzetti, R. Muti, M. Panni, V. Parisi, V. Mariozzi, S. Rendine, and with composers and musicians such as L. Piovano, B. Petrushansky , A. Pay, M. Campanella, C. Crivelli, S. Calligaris, R. Cappello, A. Noferini, P.

Borgonovo, K. Penderecki, A. Carbonare, E. Glennie, U. Clerici, G. Sollima, S . Accardo, V. Ashkenazy, M. Maisky and many others performing in important events in prestigious concert halls such as Parco della Musica in Rome, Teatro alla Scala, Sala Verdi in Milan, Filarmonica Romana, Uto Ughi Festival for Rome, Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Kleiner Konzertsaal del Gesteig in Munich, Auditorium La Rampe in Echirolles (Grenoble), Berlin Philharmonie.
Since 2010 he has been playing regularly with I Solisti Aquilani, of which he is first of the second violins, with whom he has performed many times also as a soloist and as first violin. As a quartet and trio, he plays an intense chamber music activity.

He has played in string quartet, duo and trio with piano in important events and festivals such as “Pietre che Cantano”, Monte San Giovanni Campano International Festival, Reggio Emilia International String Quartet Festival in collaboration with the Borciani Prize.

Still in the string quartet formation, he recorded a CD on music by Albino Taggeo broadcast on the RAI Auditorium channel.
